A Community Hub for Thurso? Where are we now?

Well the answer to that is that we need to go and do a lot more thinking, discussing with potential partners and a bit more of a fact finding mission. The one answer we know very clearly from those who took part in our recent survey is that Thurso needs a Community Hub even more than prior to Covid-19. We’re publishing the contents of that survey today along with a week of revealing the results on our social media to provoke more discussion with you all, we are genuinely interested in your views and opinions. We have always here at the Trust completely based what we do on what you, our community’s needs and aspirations are.

This is a BIG project, with BIG outcomes and potentially (we hope) a key solution to some of the issues experienced in Thurso. A place to bring the community together, a place to reduce inequalities and give everyone a level playing field, a place to offer assistance to those who are vulnerable, a place for celebrations within the community, a place which offers employment, a place that offers facilities to young and old alike. Our place, Thurso’s place. Those are really important BIG decisions and we want to get this right first time.
