DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Alex Henderson is the Development Manager at the Trust and is experienced in business management, sports coaching and community development. 

Having lived in Caithness for many years, she is familiar with the benefits and challenges that living in a rural community presents but believes that the benefits far outweigh the challenges. 

Who doesn't love the big skies!

Her hobbies include photography, designing and building quirky glamping pods. 

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - GARDENS AND GREENHOUSES

Sharon manages the Thurso Grows Community Garden and Greenhouses projects.

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - GARDENS AND GREENHOUSES

Daniel joined the gardens team in 2024 and supports the Thurso Grows garden in Ormlie and the Greenhouses project in town.

OFFICE ADMIN AND FINANCE

Brian joined us in early 2025 as part of our office and finance team. Brian is the main contact for all general enquiries and can help with everything from invoice payment to hiring out the marquees!

CLIMATE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Oksana is our lead in the Highland Community Waste Partnership project working on waste reduction initiatives. Oksana also handles our communications from social media, writing press releases to answering the phone and our email queries.

Danny joined us in March 2025 as a project officer for the gardens and greenhouses on a 6 month work placement. He can be found supporting both the Greenhouses and Ormlie Gardens and as a previous volunteer with us - we are delighted to have him on the team.
