Royal Thurso Hotel

Not that long ago we were all delighted to watch Royal Thurso Hotel breathing life back into the building right in the centre of Thurso, that had been empty for a while. And now it seems like Royal Thurso Hotel have been there forever. Staffed mostly with people from our local community, it blended so well into life of our community.

Andy Woodcock, the General Manager, says: “This Hotel used to be central to the life of Thurso community - that’s where christenings, weddings and funerals were happening, and that’s where people went for their Sunday meal. We are determined to return that status. We are right in the middle of community, and being part of our local community is vital for us.“

We caught the staff on shift taking their coffee break at the restaurant, where a lot of dishes are cooked from locally sourced ingredients.
