We’ll be joined by three local women who have had cancer or currently have cancer. They’ll each share their own story, including symptoms that lead to them going to the doctor. They’d like to raise awareness of the types of cancer they have/had - breast, thyroid and bowel cancer. Each of these women were under 40 when diagnosed so would like to speak about how you should check yourself at any age and go to your GP if something isn’t normal to you.

This session is aimed at people who would like to learn about how cancer can affect you, people who have or have had cancer, people who have loved ones with cancer - essentially this is open to anyone to come along to for an informal discussion about cancer.

There will be teas/coffees and cakes while you chat.

This event is being held in the Thurso Community Development Trust office which is up some stairs. Please let us know if this isn’t accessible for you and we will make arrangements for an alternative location.
