Come to Thurso Precinct and learn how to make your own garden composter!

We shall be giving away flat-packed kits for making garden composters at home, don’t miss your chance!

This event is open, and everyone is welcome to come, watch, learn and participate!

Our amazing Repair Cafe Experts David Sutherland aka Suds and Oakley Cundall will demonstrate how the composter can be assembled from wood slats, using very simple tools and having minimum of wood-working skills.

During demonstration we shall assemble a composter and donate it to a community organization of your choice.

REPAIR CAFES are one of our favourite events here at Thurso Community Development Trust. It is when members of our community get together and share knowledge and skills of fixing things. Our experts do not just fix your broken things for you - they teach you how you can do it yourselves, in the future! Be it a broken kettle, bike needing maintenance or undone hem - we have great knowledgeable experts to help you out!
