Fleece Cleaning and Prepping
This learning and volunteering session is organized in collaboration with Highland Wool CIC for sheep owners local to Caithness, to help them learn how to prep their fleeces for further use.
Crocheting Course
You will learn the baseline stitches and techniques of crocheting, find out how to read instructions and will complete a project, by the end of your course.
This will be 6 week training programme, for children and adults, at both beginner and intermediate level.
Wool Weaving Workshop
At this workshop, you will learn about various weaving techniques and will get an exciting opportunity to use a weaving loom so make your own fabric!
Wool Spinning Workshop
You will get a priceless opportunity to learn how to spin yarn from sheep wool from wonderful Ann Johnson, Regional Leader of the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers for Scotland and Northern Ireland, featured on BBC, and her colleagues.

Thurso Community Development Trust, as a member of Highland Community Waste Partnership, are organizing Circular Caithness Fair to support and promote circular economy of Caithness.
Wool Dye Workshop
At this workshop, we carry on learning how we can utilize such an amazing and sustainable resource like sheep wool.
Together with our amazing instructor Garance Warburton, we shall explore how fibers and fabric can be dyed with various natural materials, with help of easily accessible equipment that we all use in our day-to-day life.
